At Anchor Foster Care, our focus is on you. We work hard to make sure you are with the right family.
We talk to many people who want to foster. Before anyone can become a foster carer, he or she must pass our checks to ensure they can look after you. We also make sure that they like children and have some previous experience. Once a person becomes a foster carer, our team, work to make sure we match you with the right family.
What can you expect from Anchor?
We will:
- Provide you with a suitable family and practical support
- Recruit foster families from different backgrounds, ensuring that we can find the appropriate family for you
- Have you in suitable education - we believe that education gives you more and better choices in the future
- Provide you with as much support as you need to help you with any challenges
- Give you a welcome pack and children’s guide with information
- Hold Children's Forums throughout the year during school breaks, encouraging you to meet other foster children and share your experiences
