Promoting Positive Contact
As foster carers, you will be expected to play a role in contact. This may be taking a child to contact or participating.
Promoting positive contact training will teach you to understand the planning and managing of contact. In addition to this, carers will learn how to explore their role in promoting and improving contact.
During the course, you will learn:
- Understanding contact legal framework
- Identifying difficulties of contact
- Exploring emotional impact contact may have
- Expectations of foster carers and contact
- Gain confidence in managing and supporting contact
- Offering ideas to enhance contact
The course will be from 10 am - 1 pm with lunch at 1 pm.
