Understanding Learning Disabilities
In Understanding Learning Difficulties you will learn about different learning difficulties and their causes. This will include talking about how you can get the right help for your child.
During this course, we will cover:
- What a learning difficulty is
- Different types of learning difficulties
- Causes of learning difficulties
- Characteristics of learning difficulties
- What ADHD is
- Awareness of Verbal and Non-verbal communications
- Awareness of social behaviour and understanding
- Identifying children with learning difficulties
This course meets the Training, Support and Development Standards as set out by The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011.
The course will run from 10 am - 1 pm with lunch at 1 pm for those who want to stay and talk. If you have any questions please talk to your Supervising Social Worker or the Learning and Development team.
