Introduction to Mindfulness

In an Introduction to Mindfulness training, you will learn simple mindfulness techniques. These techniques will be helpful when caring for vulnerable children. Mindfulness is there to help you create a calm space for yourself. 

Children you care for may struggle to find peace due to having developmental trauma or attachment difficulties. Using these mindfulness techniques will help you to create a state of calm around the child.  

During the course we will cover:

  • Understanding of mindfulness techniques
  • Develop and learn techniques
  • Creating a calm space for children
  • Understanding the need to take time for ourselves

This course meets the Training, Support and Development Standards as set out in The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011.
