Referral scheme

We offer a carer referral scheme to encourage new parents to join the Anchor family

I would like to refer a foster parent, what do I need to do?


Step 1 First of all, check if they can become a foster parent by taking our helpful interactive quiz	Step 2 Next, ask the prospective foster parent to register their interest by clicking here	Step 3 Under the question, ‘Where did you hear about us?’ click on the drop-down menu and select: ‘Carer Referral’
Afterwards, our friendly recruitment team will be in touch to talk you through the next stages and begin the fostering journey!

How will I receive the £1,500 reward?

We understand that the path to becoming a foster parent is a carefully considered process and takes time, due to this the incentive will be paid following each milestone below:

1. £200 once an Initial Visit and takes place and Skills to Foster is completed

2. £500 when the prospective carers attend Panel

3. £300 following the first placement

Who can receive the Foster Carer Introduction Reward?

The reward is payable to any of the following individuals:

Anchor permanent & sessional members of staff (Recruitment Staff are exempt from the introduction reward scheme).
Anchor foster carers and foster carers in assessment with Anchor.

Independent social workers or other professionals, who work with Anchor.

For the purpose of managing and safeguarding conflicts of interest, any referrals made by an assessor, whether independent or employed by Anchor, shall not be assessed by them. This is to ensure that the assessment process is not compromised by the potential risk of conflict of interest. Any other risks or conflicts of interest will be assessed and managed by our Service Development Manager.
