Develop Your Skills With Anchor Foster Care Training
What Training is Included?
We provide a top quality comprehensive training schedule plus a variety of specialist training, free of charge when you sign up to become a foster carer.
During the assessment process, foster carers complete three days of training, including:
- Skills to Foster
- The Role of the Foster Carer
- Child Protection and Safeguarding
Once approved, further mandatory training is required. This includes:
- First Aid
- Safeguarding
- Valuing Diversity
- Managing Challenging Behaviour
We also train all carers in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention For Families (TCIF) so carers are better prepared and fully supported in handling difficult behaviour as well as other specialised training when needed.
