Festive Fun for All: A Creative Christmas Competition

Anchor's Christmas Card Competition - 2020/21

Last year, we asked all of our children and young people to pick up their paintbrushes, pens and pencils and create their very own Christmas cards!

Everyone captured the magical feeling of the holiday season in their own unique and wonderful way, making it an incredibly difficult task for the judges to pick the winning designs.

The winners each received their Christmas design printed onto mugs to keep as a memory for the future - perfect for a warm drink whilst wrapped up indoors when it's cold outside.

To spread the Christmas cheer even further this December, we have posted bespoke Christmas cards to all of our children and families, using the designs created for the competition.

This competition is one of the many initiatives in which Anchor supports foster families to provide a safe and encouraging environment for children and young people to engage, develop and nurture their talents.

Creative activities are an important way of developing cognitive, social-emotional and multisensory skills. In addition, art can help children explore emotions that may be difficult to put into words, express their individuality and of course, have fun at the same time!

Could you picture yourself being the anchor in a child or young person's life? You could give them the best Christmas present of all - a loving home and family. Take our quick questionnaire or contact us today and see how you could make a difference in 2022.
