Anchor Foster Carer Approves Foster Care Fortnight Pamper Day
In May 2018, Anchor Foster Care treated foster carers to a pampering session at Mid-Kent College, followed by a two course meal.
A gesture of appreciation from Anchor, the event was just one of a number of activities linked with Foster Care Fortnight, a two week annual event run by the Fostering Network that raises awareness of fostering.
One of our foster carers had this to say about the occassion:
"Just to say what a fantastic time we had last year at our Pamper Session. We were treated like Kings and Queens!
A group of foster carers went and were offered a choice of treatments, including massages and facials. I chose a luxury manicure and pedicure and Bruce my husband had a much needed pedicure. Afterwards he was walking on air!
We were then treated to lunch. I had Chinese Belly Pork and everyone wanted what I had. It was delicious and best of all it was followed by a sumptuous desert. The students at Mid-Kent did a magnificent job and we all wished them well.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day and recommend all foster parents at Anchor go to the next one. I'll be going, and I can't wait!"
