Anchor foster care offers a wide range of placements for children and young people of all ages.
All placements are 'matched' to ensure suitability of placements, placing the child or young person with carers who have the right skills, family composition and disposition.
We work closely with the local authorities that provide alternative care arrangements for children and young people. We work closely with the Local Authority to ensure that the care plan for every child or you person placed with us is adhered to.
All placements are carefully matched and negotiated with the placing Authority either through an individual placement contract or as part of a wider contract of service provision commissioned by the Local Authority.
We are a Pan-London approved agency and are committed to work within the remit of the above contract.
We work in partnership with all interested parties in order to achieve good outcomes for children and young people.

We have a strong track record for placement stability with most placements having achieved the long term status. Most of the young people that are going into either semi independent or independent living have been placed with Anchor since its inception about six years ago. Most of whom had experienced multiple placement breakdowns before coming to ANCHOR.
We have a 96% school attendance and our older young people are mostly in full time education.
Our record has been so impressive that we are currently developing a semi-independent package to cater for this group of young people and indeed any others from other agencies that might need this service. It's our belief that, all the work put in looking after and mentoring these young people while in foster care is normally at risk of being ruined if their transitioned into independent living is not carefully managed.
