In fostering we have a range of different placement types. One form of this is specialist fostering.
What is Specialist fostering?
Specialist fostering is when a child may have challenging behaviour and needs additional care. Specialist fostering also includes therapeutic and disability fostering.
Foster Carers who offer specialist fostering are trained to make sure they have the skills they need. In addition to this, we have 24-hour support.

A part of the process of becoming a foster carer is to attend our Skills to Foster training. In this training, you will get a more in-depth look at fostering and the types of placements.
